YCW Basorun
The Difference is You and I
Young Christian Workers (YCW) is an international Catholic youth movement founded by Father Joseph Cardijn in Belgium under the name Young Trade Unionists. In 1924 the movement adopted its present name and has since spread across parishes and countries worldwide. At St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Basorun, Ibadan, the YCW chapter is a vibrant community of young people committed to living out their faith in everyday life, supporting one another, and taking positive action in society. We meet every third Sunday of the month for our general meeting and organize various activities both within and outside the parish, such as:
- Visit to Orphanage
- Keep Fit, organised every Saturday
- Different spiritual Activities
Through these programs, YCW Basorun seeks to form young leaders, strengthen Christian values, and build a supportive network of young workers dedicated to service, justice and faith.
